I'm going to be supporting the coolest kids in town on this special album launch show at The Crescent, York.

So chuffed to have been invited by my good friends Captain Startlet to open for them on such a special occasion.

My second time playing at The Crescent in York. Many thanks to Captain Starlet for inviting me to join the album launch party and Joe PPY for organising. What a brilliant night, such an attentive audience, thanks so much for listening to my songs. I'll hopefully be back soon.

Simon Godley from God is in the TV fanzine was also there taking photos. You can read his write-up of the show here...Thanks Simon for letting me use the photos and the lovely comments :)

Ned Swarbrick at The Crescent, York

Since first seeing him in Leeds last October supporting Bernard Butler, his prodigious talent has developed even further. His songs are even stronger, his presence even greater. He is surely destined to go far.

Captain Starlet were awesome as ever and brought the house down, playing all the songs from the new album and a few old favourites too. Full of energy, ripping it up with their 60's inspired riffs. Sam, the bass player, even managed to break a string...but that didn't stop the action for long. Just brilliant!

I also got to see James Shakeshaft with his band The Groupe play for the first time. I had a quick chat after the show. What a great band and such lovely guys. Had the chance to catch up with lots of friends and make some new ones.
