Bright Young Things

Ryder left the family home
With his so called souvenir
Says that he  believes in everything
That you can’t see or hear again

And now you’re waiting
Just to see him fading in the sun
All to see the lesson learned
It was wrong to let him off
For what he’s done
For what you've done

Born to walk a well worn path
Torn two ways intertwined
Disregarding..."in too deep"
To see it all like glasses for the blind

And you’ll believe it
Only when you see him
Take the fall
What’s a bright young thing
If you say so
You can see it all again
I’m gonna see you all again

When the summertime
Goes stale that’s what you get
And you’re hoping God
Might make you good someday
But not quite yet

Who's strong you say
All the while I just pretend
Just a bright young thing
If you say so you can see it all again
I know you'll wanna be whole again
I'm gonna a see you all again
