This a live recording of a relatively new song "Out On The Morning". It was the song's second airing when I opened for Ruth Lyon at Pocklington Arts Centre in October 2025. Many thanks to Ben Wall, the art centre's resident engineer, who recorded my set and sent me this copy.

Out On The Morning

There’s a man from the country walking by
Holding another unopened letter
With dots on the i’s

You’ve got a strange desire he says
For building four walls and a fire
Where tomorrow will burn you again

Too much to say, you’re losing out
Too much to say, you’re breathing the
Smoke of another old town

And from the face of wanting more
You’ve seen the daytime, she
Twists in the night just to settle the score
Settle the score

And you toe the line
And you change your ways
And you take your time
'Till out on the morning she came

And there’s a man, he’s come again
Holding another lost conversation
He says, when he’s finished it ends

And that’s the one that should've stayed
You faced the music
Turned back around
Now you hear it again

Did you take your time
Would you come that way
Will you toe the line
'Till out on the morning she came
